NOTE: There is one designated BLUE parking spot by the fence, closest to the wheelchair access ramp. The wheelchair access door is via the far right entrance.
Other Parking Options
STREET PARKING in front of The Lantern:
On-street parking is permitted only on The Lantern side of Barnes Road and only directly in front of the building itself … EXCEPT from December 1st to March 31st when snow-route restrictions apply. Parking on the road in front of the parking lot itself will land you with a ticket.
MULLOCK STREET PARKING
There is parking available on Mullock Street just around the corner from The Lantern, to the right as you face The Lantern. There is parking available during the day on the left side nearer The Lantern going towards St. Bon’s School. In the evening there is parking available on both sides of Mullock Street. More of a challenge during school hours or special happenings there. This may be subject to change. Always double check re street signage to avoid ticketing.
NOTE CHANGE: RE PARKING in the BASILICA PARKING LOT
Overflow parking is available in The Roman Catholic Basilica parking lot on Military Road, depending on what is scheduled there. The usual 40-second lane access to The Lantern from the the top right corner of the Basilica parking lot, has been gated off since the fall of 2024 due to recently recurring liability issues. That will now mean walking around via Military road to Barnes Road which is just before the Rawlins Cross lights, OR walking around via Bonaventure Avenue past St. Bon’s School and down Mullock Street to Barnes Road. Apology for any inconvenience.
General neighbourhood parking:
Please be extra careful re other parking in the area regarding street signage. Maybe drive around ahead of coming for class to do some exploring.
